Ex Luce, formed by violinist Colleen Jennings and Ana Arnaz, brings together early and contemporary repertoires, drawing from both classical and traditional music. By placing works of very different origins side by side, the duo creates unexpected sound worlds and, true to its name, sheds a new light on the music, revealing a distinctive palette of colours.

The ensemble was founded in 2004 following an invitation from the Les Mélanges du Printemps festival in Dijon, France. Since then, Ex Luce has been invited to perform at festivals in Germany, Spain, the United States and France, and several composers have written works especially for the duo.

In September 2018, Ex Luce was selected as Artist in Residence at Avaloch Farm Music Institute in New Hampshire.
